In the late 70s, c 1974-76, I used to commute from Skelmersdale to Port Stanlow, and the Ribble bus I caught in the early hours used to travel down Scotland Road. Weekends I used to also catch a Ribble Bus from Skem to come shopping in Liverpool. Although I did have an old still film camera, I never ever gave the thought that things would change so much from Walton Hospital all the way to the city centre. I was in Liverpool a few days ago after many, many years of being away and all I could remember was that Catholic Church on Scotland Rd. My, how things have changed.
